On April 22, the Fourth Chinese Language Skill Contest of Tongren Polytechnic College is held in the Studio of Tongren Polytechnic College. Led by Doctor Liqian of Tongren University, students and teachers of the School of International Education attend the event as audience. Thirteen foreign students of Tongren University and Tongren Polytechnic College participate in the Contest. Song Xi, Yang Ya, An Nong and Wan Nanqi of Tongren University respectively win the first prize, second prize and two third prizes in the Contest.
The Contest is made up of 4 parts, the entering part, asking & writing, quick response questions and match-up (talent show). In the Contest, Song Xi overwhelms her competitors with outstanding Chinese proficiency, graceful behavior, affluent language and devoted singing, and is well received by the judges and audience present. The lip language repeat named Speak and Act performed by Yang Ya is humorous and vivid. Her affluent language greatly impresses the audience, and is liked by the audience and judges. An Nong sings a Chinese song named the Myth, and Wan Qinan recites a poetry named Ode to the Yellow River. The performance of the two is unique and full of personality, and is liked by all audience present.
Students participants in the Contest fully show the inspiring style and spirit, and the courage to challenge themselves of foreign students, as well as their excellent Chinese language skills.
